Who can I contact if I have a problem with my Caterpillar T20?

1. The first point of contact should be the Cat help desk at www.catphones.com/support/
2. Contact the agent who will attempt to recover the device with you.
3. If the device needs to be returned to the service centre then they will advise you of the actions required.
"Note: It is the customers responsibility to ensure that the data on the device is backed up at all times.
Devices returned through the service centre will have the data wiped from the device prior to repair actions."

How do I insert a SIM card to the device?

1. The device takes a Micro SIM card
2. Orientation of the SIM card when inserting to the device is critical.
3. Incorrect insertion of the SIM card will result in the device becoming defective.
4. If the SIM card has been incorrectly inserted the device will need to be returned to a service centre to recover the SIM card
Orientation Note:
1. Place a cloth on a flat surface (to protect the screen) with the screen face down on the flat surface.
2. Open the SIM door
3. Hold the SIM card with the gold contacts facing upwards and therefore the cut off corner away from the tablet.
4. Slide the SIM card into the SIM slot, press the exposed edge into the slot and feel/hear the click.
5. To remove the SIM card press the SIM card into the slot and the SIM should then partially eject, now remove.

How do I insert a Micro SD card?

1. The device takes a Micro SD card
2. Orientation of the SD card when inserting to the device is critical.
Orientation Note:
1. Place a cloth on a flat surface (to protect the screen) with the screen face down on the flat surface.
2. Open the SD card door
3. Hold the SD card with the gold contacts facing upwards
4. Slide the SD card into the SD slot, press the exposed edge into the slot and feel/hear the click.
5. To remove the SD card on the display at the bottom right of the tablet is a symbol of an arrow point upwards.
6. Touch the symbol and a USB Icon will pop up. Tap the USB Icon
7. This will allow the option to eject the Micro SD card.
8. The tablet will now display a message indicating it is safe to remove the SD card.
9. Open the SD door and push the edge of the SD card into the device.
10. the Tablet mechanism will eject the Micro SD card, and you can remove.

How do I connect to a Wireless network?

1. On the Tablet display swipe from the right of the screen, this will gain access to the Action centre. Expand or Collapse as required
2. Select the Network option and Wi-Fi
3. In the next window "Turn Wi-Fi back on" the device will search for available Wi-Fi networks
4. Select the desired network, you may be required to enter the password to access, using the keyboard enter the passcode
5. Enter the device will connect to the Wi-Fi, and be able to access the internet.

How do I set up an email account on the device?

Note: It is recommended that when you first set up the Tablet that you also set up a Microsoft account.
please follow the instructions in the User Manual.
1. In the Create area select the Mail window
2. Accounts window will now be visible and "+ Add account" select this.
3. If you already have an account select the icon that is related to the type of account you have.
4. Follow the on screen instructions to enable your account. Or alternatively follow "Create one" instructions

What size memory does the Tablet have and what is the maximum size of SD card memory?

1. The device comes with 2GB of RAM and 64GB ROM
2. The maximum size of SD card memory is 64GB

How do I set up Bluetooth and pair with another device?

1. The Bluetooth version is 4.1
2. On the left of the display is the settings icon select this
3. The settings screen will open access Bluetooth & other devices
4. switch Bluetooth on and click on + Add Bluetooth or other device
5. Make sure the device you plan to pair to is discoverable
6. In the add device window select the type of device you wish to connect to, in this case Bluetooth
7. The Tablet is now discoverable, select the device you wish to pair to and accept at that device

How do I share via Bluetooth?

1. After pairing with a device then select the folder/file to be transferred from the device.
2. Press on the Bluetooth Icon and then select the device to send the folder/file to and press done.
3. On the receiving device you will be asked to accept, accept the request and allow time for the transfer to take place.

Question How do I put the device into Airplane mode when boarding an airplane or another restricted area?

Note: Always follow the instructions in a restricted area.
1. Swipe the screen from the right hand side
2. The Action centre will open from the panels available select "Airplane mode"
3. Airplane mode will be highlighted and all other access panes will be greyed out.
4. When it is once again acceptable to take the device out of Airplane mode click on the panel and airplane mode will be disabled

Why does the screen cover read TF where I expected to see SD card?

1. TF stands for Trans Flash cards, this was how the memory cards were originally referred
2. In the first round build of the Caterpillar T20 the reference on the screen cover will be TF
3. TF and MicroSD cards can be safely used in the device, as a rolling introduction the cover will be read TF / SD .
