The Cat S62 Pro has the best thermal camera in a smartphone. The sensor is the professional grade FLIR® Lepton 3.5 (versus the Lepton 2.5 in the Cat S61).

Superior Camera.

The Cat S62 Pro includes a high-quality dual pixel sensor from Sony. While it appears to have a lower megapixel count than the Cat S61 – 12MP rather than 16MP – in fact, the S62 Pro sensor actually has 24MP, but they’re configured to take advantage of dual pixel technology for fast focusing. Importantly, a camera’s megapixel number does not directly determine image quality. Sensor and lens quality, tuning, focus, and software enhancements all have a substantial impact, and we’ve invested and made big improvements in each of these areas.

The image quality and performance on the Cat S62 Pro is dramatically enhanced. It boasts fast-focusing thanks to its dual pixel Sony sensor, and its bright f/1.8 aperture and large 1.4µm pixel size delivers great low-light performance.

Long life battery.

The Cat S62 Pro has a smaller battery than the Cat S61, but the performance is comparably impressive. You’ll get more than a day of battery life with even heavy usage.

We’ve achieved this through battery optimisation work with component providers, and by taking advantage of battery efficiencies in more recent versions of Android.
